Lyerly, GA – Serious Car Accident at Oak Hill Rd & Josh Ward Rd
Lyerly, GA (December 27, 2021) – At 8:46 p.m. on Sunday night, December 26, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Lyerly.
According to local officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Oak Hill Road and Josh Ward Road. The driver of a passenger vehicle was traveling along in the area when they lost control of the vehicle, crashing off the side of the road. One or more victims were ejected from their vehicle. The vehicle was badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Two or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of severe and life-threatening injuries. A medical helicopter was present at the scene to help.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the intersection was blocked in the area for some time.
