Loganville, GA – Pedestrian Accident Involving Horse Rider on GA-81
Loganville, GA (August 2, 2021) – On Sunday, August 1, a pedestrian accident involving a horse rider took place in Loganville.
According to Loganville Police, the accident happened on GA-81 around the area of Meridian Park. A 65-year-old woman was traveling south on the highway in her vehicle when she reportedly slammed into a horse and its rider. The initial accident took place and then several other vehicles became involved and slammed into one another.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The 26-year-old male horse rider, the 65-year-old driver, and her 6-year-old passenger were all injured and hospitalized. The 65-year-old has been listed in critical condition. The horse tragically died at the scene.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
