Loganville, GA – Car Crash Involving Officer at Youth Monroe Rd & GA-81
Loganville, GA (April 9, 2021) – On Wednesday, April 7, a car crash with injuries took place at an intersection in Loganville.
According to the Georgia State Patrol and the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-81 and Youth Monroe Road. At the time, a deputy was traveling west and made a left turn at the intersection. The cruiser collided with another vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The 24-year-old female deputy and the 49-year-old female driver of the other vehicle were both injured. Their injuries were deemed serious in nature and they were both hospitalized.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
