Lithonia, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-20 Near Evans Mill Rd
Lithonia, GA (July 24, 2021) – At 2:02 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, July 24, a multi-vehicle crash occurred on a highway in Lithonia.
According to DeKalb County Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 near the area of Evans Mill Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
