Lithonia, GA – Car Accident on I-20 Near Evans Mill Rd Leads to Injuries
Lithonia, GA (July 15, 2021) – At 5:49 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, July 15, a car accident with injuries occurred in Lithonia.
According to police, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Evans Mill Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not entirely known. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged due to the accident. Tow trucks removed the vehicles from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes for a period of time, which led to delays until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
