Lithonia, GA – Car Accident at Turner Hill Rd & Covington Hwy
Lithonia, GA (August 27, 2021) – At 11:23 a.m. on the morning of Friday, August 27, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Lithonia.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of Turner Hill Road and Covington Highway. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time, which led to delays until police cleared the scene.
