Lithia Springs, GA – Tractor-Trailer Accident on I-20 Near Thornton Rd
Lithia Springs, GA (May 3, 2021) – At 7 a.m. on the morning of Monday, May 3, a tractor-trailer accident occurred on a highway in Lithia Springs.
According to officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Thornton Road. A tractor-trailer and one or more passenger vehicles collided with each other in the area, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
