Lithia Springs, GA – Rollover Crash on Thornton Rd Near I-20
Lithia Springs, GA (July 24, 2021) – At 10:52 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, July 24, a rollover crash with injuries occurred on a roadway in Lithia Springs.
According to Douglas County officials, the accident happened on Thornton Road around the area of I-20. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they forcefully collided due to reasons that are not yet known. One of the vehicles immediately rolled over as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
