Lithia Springs, GA – I-20 Site of Car Accident, Injuries at Thornton Rd
Lithia Springs, GA (July 22, 2022) – At least one victim suffered injuries in the aftermath of an auto accident on a local Lithia Springs highway on Friday afternoon, July 22.
At around 2:45 p.m., two or more automobiles reportedly crashed in the two left lanes of eastbound Interstate 20 between Exit 44 and Thornton Road, according to the Lithia Springs Police Department. The incident caused serious front-end damage to one of the cars, a compact SUV.
A number of emergency personnel, including paramedics and fire teams, were called to the area to assist individuals in need. The collision injured at least one person, who has not yet been identified. However, the person was sent to a local medical facility for treatment.
Due to the collision’s severity, the left side of the roadway was closed for a prolonged time. The police worked as swiftly as possible to clean up the crash debris and complete the onsite portion of their investigation.
