Lithia Springs, GA – Car Crash on Thornton Rd Near I-20 Leads to Injuries
Lithia Springs, GA (January 11, 2022) – Around 8:19 a.m. on Tuesday morning, January 11, a car crash with injuries occurred in Lithia Springs.
Atlanta Police confirmed that the accident happened in the southbound lanes of Thornton Road around the area of I-20. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The involved vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to severe damages.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for a period of time. This led to delays until police fully cleared the scene.
