Lithia Springs, GA – Car Accident on I-20 Near Thornton Rd Leads to Injuries
Lithia Springs, GA (October 16, 2021) – At 8:21 p.m. on the night of Saturday, October 16, a car accident with injuries occurred in Lithia Springs.
According to Cobb County Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Thornton Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident. Their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked in several lanes for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
