Lithia Springs, GA – Car Accident on I-20 Near Lee Rd Leads to Injuries
Lithia Springs, GA (July 24, 2021) – At 5:01 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, July 24, a car accident with injuries occurred in Lithia Springs.
According to local officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Lee Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling on the highway when they suddenly collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged due to the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the crash. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the crash, two left lanes of traffic were blocked for some time. This led to delays in the area until police cleared the scene. Officials urged those in the area to use Highway 78 as an alternate route.
