Leesburg, GA – Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on US-82
Leesburg, GA (August 26, 2021) – At 12:35 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, August 26, a serious two-vehicle collision occurred on a major roadway in Leesburg.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on US-82 toward the Dawson area. Two vehicles were traveling on the roadway in the area when one lost control, slamming into the other for unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Two people, who have not yet been identified, were injured as a result of the collision. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the crash traffic was delayed in the area for some time.
