Leesburg, GA – Three Killed in Fatal Truck Accident at GA-91 & GA-32
Leesburg, GA (September 21, 2021) – At 8:30 a.m. on the morning of Monday, September 20, a fatal truck accident occurred at an intersection in Leesburg.
According to Lee County Sheriff’s deputies, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-91 and GA-32. A pickup truck was traveling in the area when it collided with a semi-truck at the intersection. The pickup truck was extensively damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Three people were inside the pickup truck and all of the parties were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The parties have since been identified as a 33-year-old man, a 32-year-old man, and a 56-year-old man. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
Due to the severity of the crash, all lanes of traffic were blocked at the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
