Lawrenceville, GA (August 26, 2021) – On Thursday, August 26, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Lawrenceville.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Sugarloaf Parkway and GA-124. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles forcefully collided with one another. This led to extensive damages in both involved vehicles. Tow trucks were seen in the area removing the damaged vehicles from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. One or more victims sustained injuries in the collision. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though they have not yet been identified.
Only a left lane was open following the collision. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
