LaFayette, GA – Single-Vehicle Collision with Injuries in SB Lanes of GA-27
LaFayette, GA (June 12, 2021) – At 4 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, June 12, a single-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in LaFayette.
According to Walker County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of GA-27 around the area of GA-151. The driver of the vehicle was traveling on the highway when they lost control, crashing off the side of the road. The vehicle was extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. This led to delays in the area until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
