Kennesaw, GA – Six-Vehicle Accident with Injuries in NB Lanes of I-575
Kennesaw, GA (April 22, 2022) – On Thursday afternoon, April 21, a six-vehicle accident with injuries took place on a highway in Kennesaw.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-575 around the area of the Barrett Parkway A total of six vehicles became involved in the accident. An elderly driver was traveling in the area and didn’t know that something was wrong with her tire. She became involved in a collision with five other vehicles, which led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The elderly female driver was injured in the accident and taken to Kennestone Hospital. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked following the accident. The lanes quickly reopened as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing. Police will update with more information as it becomes available.
