Kennesaw, GA – One Killed in Fatal Crash on Lakeside Dr
Kennesaw, GA (October 24, 2021) – On Friday, October 22, a fatal crash occurred on a roadway in Kennesaw that took one life.
According to Milledgeville Police, the accident happened at 200 Lakeside Drive around the area of Carrington Woods. A Mazda was traveling in the area when the driver suddenly went over the center line, colliding head-on with a Jeep Wrangler headed west. The vehicles were left with extensive damage as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the Mazda, identified as a 23-year-old man, was rushed to a local hospital by medical helicopter. A passenger in the same vehicle, identified as a 17-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 41-year-old female driver of the Jeep, as well as a juvenile passenger, were also injured in the collision. They are expected to fully recover from their injuries.
Lakeside Drive was closed down for a period of time but has since been reopened.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
