Kennesaw, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-75 Near Chastain Rd
Kennesaw, GA (October 2, 2021) – At 8:05 p.m. on the evening of Friday, October 1, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Kennesaw.
According to Cobb County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 271, Chastain Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
