Juliette, GA – Tractor-Trailer Accident Leads to Injuries on I-75
Juliette, GA (September 22, 2021) – After 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, a tractor-trailer accident occurred in Juliette.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of mile markers 180 and 179. Traffic was slowing down in the area when a white box truck suddenly ran into the back of a tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer was then pushed forward into a Kia Forte. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the box truck, as well as the driver of the Kia Forte, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. It is believed that both victims were in critical condition.
Due to the severity of the accident, all lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time. Traffic was at a complete standstill for some time. Police urged those in the area to use an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
