Jonesboro, GA – School Bus Crash at Tara Blvd & Mt Zion Blvd
Jonesboro, GA (August 19, 2021) – On Thursday afternoon, August 19, a school bus crash occurred at an intersection in Jonesboro.
According to Clayton County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Tara Boulevard and Mt. Zion Boulevard. A school bus and another passenger vehicle were traveling in the area when they collided with one another due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Several people inside the passenger vehicle were seriously injured. The victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
