Jonesboro, GA – One Killed in Fatal Car Accident in NB Lanes of I-75
Jonesboro, GA (November 7, 2022) – Around 3:30 a.m. on the morning of Friday, November 4, one person was killed in a fatal car accident in Jonesboro.
According to Clayton County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Tara Boulevard. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of traffic when they became involved in a chain-reaction collision due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged in the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were immediately called to the scene. One person, who has not yet been formally identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. It is not known if anyone else was hurt in the accident.
All northbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal.
