Jonesboro, GA – Car Accident at Tara Blvd & Poston Rd Intersection
Jonesboro, GA (July 3, 2021) – At 10:06 p.m. on the night of Friday, July 2, a car accident with injuries occurred in Jonesboro.
According to Clayton County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Tara Boulevard and Poston Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other after entering the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The right lane of traffic was blocked in the area for a period of time, which led to delays in the area. Tow trucks were called to the scene to remove vehicles from the roadway.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
