Johns Creek, GA – Man Killed in Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash on McGinnis Ferry Rd
Johns Creek, GA (June 9, 2021) – On Wednesday, June 2, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash in Johns Creek.
According to officials, the accident took place on McGinnis Ferry Road around the area of the bridge that travels across the Chattahoochee River. At the time, a 23-year-old man was outside of his vehicle and attempting to secure a mattress to the top of the car. He was suddenly struck by a black four-door sedan traveling in the area struck him and then fled the scene.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries.
Johns Creek Police are still looking for the driver responsible for the accident. It is believed that the vehicle that struck the pedestrian has damage to its right bumper and hood area.
The investigation into the accident continues.
