Jefferson, GA – Truck Accident Leads to Injuries in NB Lanes of I-85
Jefferson, GA (November 24, 2021) – At 1:35 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 24, a truck accident with injuries occurred in Jefferson.
According to police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Dry Pond Road. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it collided with a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The passenger vehicle was left with extensive damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were seriously injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time.
