Jefferson, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-85 Near Dry Pond Rd
Jefferson, GA (June 2, 2021) – At 12:35 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 2, a multi-vehicle collision took place in Jefferson.
According to Jackson County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Dry Pond Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not known at this time.
All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
