Jasper, GA – Car Accident at Jerusalem Church Rd & Hill City Rd
Jasper, GA (July 30, 2021) – Around 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon, July 30, a car accident with injuries occurred in Pickens County.
According to Pickens County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Jerusalem Church Road and Hill City Road in Jerusalem. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use alternate routes until they cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
