Jackson, GA – One Injured in Serious Crash on GA-16 at Brookwood Ave
Jackson, GA (June 29, 2021) – On Monday evening, June 28, a serious crash occurred at an intersection in Jackson.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-16 and Brookwood Avenue. A Dodge Ram was traveling in the area when it collided with a pickup truck carrying a landscaping trailer behind it. The engine compartment of the Dodge then caught on fire due to the forceful collision.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The driver of the Dodge, who has not yet been identified, had to be pulled from his vehicle. The driver was then transported to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
