Hoschton, GA – Man Killed in Fatal Accident on Dee Kennedy Rd
Hoschton, GA (January 2, 2021) – Law enforcement officials with the Georgia State Patrol were called to the scene of a fatal accident on a roadway in Hoschton.
The accident, according to police, took place at 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, January 1 on Dee Kennedy Road near Emperor Lane. A 20-year-old man from Dacula was headed southbound in his vehicle when he was suddenly struck from behind by a Ford F-150. This caused the Ford and the other vehicle to lose control. The passenger vehicle that was struck ran into a tree, which caused extensive damages.
Sources confirmed that multiple responders, including local paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help. The 20-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital where he was taken with traumatic injuries. The driver of the Ford, identified as a 55-year-old man, was hospitalized with unknown injuries at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Charges are currently pending against the driver of the pickup truck. The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
