Holly Springs, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-575 Near Sixes Rd
Holly Springs, GA (December 9, 2021) – At 6:35 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, December 9, a multi-vehicle collision took place in Holly Springs.
According to Woodstock officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-575 around the area of Sixes Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one lost control, causing them to collide forcefully with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Bells Ferry Road as an alternate route.
