Hiram, GA – Serious Pedestrian Accident at Bar on Atlanta Hwy
Hiram, GA (July 11, 2021) – On Saturday night, July 10, a serious pedestrian accident occurred at a bar in Hiram.
According to police, the crash took place at 278 South Bar and Grill on the Atlanta Highway. A 34-year-old man was initially asked to leave the bar because he was intoxicated. He left the restaurant as instructed but then he later came back in his Dodge Ram. He started to shot at the restaurant through his window. When he was finished shooting, he drove through the business and struck numerous patrons who were watching a concert in the bar.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately called to the scene. One of the victims was struck by a bullet and another was struck twice by the man’s vehicle. The two victims were hospitalized, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Numerous patrons in the bar were able to detain the suspect until police arrived so that he could not start shooting again.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
