Hapeville, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries in NB Lanes of I-85
Hapeville, GA (August 22, 2021) – At 12:43 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, August 21, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Hapeville.
According to local officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Sylvan Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling on the highway when they collided with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the crash.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the crash, the right lane of traffic was blocked for a period of time. This led to delays in the area.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
