Gainesville, GA – School Bus Accident on Poplar Springs Rd
Gainesville, GA (April 16, 2021) – On Friday afternoon, April 16, a school bus accident occurred on a roadway in Gainesville.
According to Hall County officials, the accident happened on Poplar Springs Road near the area of the Hall County School District. At the time, the school bus was transporting students home from school when it struck another vehicle for reasons that are not yet known. The bus then traveled off the side of the road and struck a mailbox and a tree.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. Six students and a bus driver were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
