Gainesville, GA – Head-on Collision with Injuries on Thompson Bridge Rd
Gainesville, GA (June 11, 2021) – At 8:30 p.m. on Thursday night, June 10, a head-on collision with injuries occurred on a roadway in Gainesville.
According to police, the accident took place on Thompson Bridge Road in the area of High Vista Pointe. Two SUVs were traveling in the area when they collided just south of the bridge over Lake Lanier. Due to the severity of the crash, the SUVs were left with extensive damages.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Three patients within the vehicles were seriously injured. The victims had to be extricated from their vehicles. They are all expected to recover.
The roadway was blocked in all directions until police were able to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
