Gainesville, GA – Dump Truck Crash at GA-369 & Whitmire Dr Intersection
Gainesville, GA (August 12, 2021) – At 10:03 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, August 12, a dump truck crash occurred at an intersection in Gainesville.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-369 and Whitmire Drive. A dump truck was traveling in the area when it entered the intersection, colliding with another vehicle. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to avoid the area until the scene was cleared.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
