Fulton Co, GA – Officers Investigating Injury Car Crash on I-85 at Sylvan Rd & Central Ave
Fulton Co, GA (May 9, 2021) – Officers with the Fulton County Police Department say that injuries resulted from a car crash that took place on Interstate 85 on Sunday evening, May 9.
According to information released by Fulton County authorities, the accident took place around 11:00 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 85 around the Sylvan Road and Central Avenue exit. The accident involved at least two vehicles, though it’s unclear how it occurred.
Paramedics and fire rescue units were dispatched to the scene of the accident and say that at least one of the victims was injured.
It appears that the injured victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, but updates on their conditions have not been provided.
All lanes of traffic were blocked for about an hour after the accident, causing serious backups in the area.
No further details have been released but Fulton County officers say that the investigation continues at this time.
