Fort Oglethorpe, GA (January 3, 2023) – Injuries were reported in a serious car accident that happened on a major roadway in Fort Oglethorpe on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 3.

According to Catoosa County officials, the accident happened around 1 p.m. on Battlefield Parkway in front of the local Home Depot. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are still being investigated. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims from the involved vehicles sustained injuries. The unidentified parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not entirely known.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for some time.
