Ft Oglethorpe, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash at Battlefield Pkwy & Van Cleve St
Fort Oglethorpe, GA (September 23, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious car accident that took place at an intersection in Fort Oglethorpe on Friday morning, September 23.
According to Catoosa County officials, the accident happened around 7:53 a.m. at the intersection of Battlefield Parkway and Van Cleve Street in front of Golden Corral Buffet and Grill. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they became involved in a chain-reaction collision at the intersection due to unknown reasons. The involved vehicles sustained immense damage as a result of the crash.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Numerous parties sustained injuries as a result of the crash. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues. Police will update when more information becomes available.
