Fort Oglethorpe, GA – Injury Accident at Battlefield Pkwy & Fant Dr Intersection
Fort Oglethorpe, GA (July 6, 2022) – On Wednesday morning, July 6, a car accident with injuries took place at an intersection in Fort Oglethorpe.
According to Catoosa County officials, the accident happened around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Battlefield Parkway and Fant Drive. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with one another. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other Fort Oglethorpe responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured due to the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was almost entirely blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time after the collision. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
