Fort Oglethorpe, GA (July 31, 2021) – Before 2 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, July 31, a two-vehicle collision with injuries happened in Fort Oglethorpe.

According to Catoosa County officials, the accident happened at 1100 Battlefield Parkway in front of the AMC theater. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained serious injuries and had to be rushed to local hospitals. Their conditions and identities are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
