Forsyth, GA – Child Struck in Bicycle Accident at Bunn Rd & Carters Way
Forsyth, GA (April 12, 2021) – On Sunday, April 11, a child was struck in a bicycle accident that took place at an intersection in Forsyth.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of Bunn Road and Carters Way close to the Highway 41 area. A 6-year-old child was riding his bicycle in the area when he was struck by a passenger vehicle traveling in the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The child was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The driver told police that they were distracted by sunlight in the area at the time of the crash.
The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
