Forest Park, GA – Head-on Collision in SB Lanes of I-75 Near Hwy 41
Forest Park, GA (May 22, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a head-on collision that took place on a highway in Forest Park on Saturday evening, May 21.
According to Clayton County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 235, Highway 41. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one ran into the other lane of traffic, colliding head-on with the other. One of the sedans was seen in the area with extensive head-on damage.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.
One right lane of traffic was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal.
No further details have been released but police continue their investigation into the accident.
