Forest Park, GA – Car Accident with Injuries on Old Dixie Rd
Forest Park, GA (August 9, 2021) – At 2:13 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, August 9, a car accident with injuries happened in Forest Park.
According to Clayton County officials, the accident occurred on Old Dixie Road around the area of I-285. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the crash, all lanes of traffic were blocked in both directions until police cleared the scene. Police urged those in the area to use Jonesboro Road as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
