Flowery Branch, GA – Car Crash on I-985 Near Spout Springs Rd
Flowery Branch, GA (July 29, 2021) – Before 8 a.m. on Thursday morning, July 29, a car crash with injuries occurred in Flowery Branch.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-985 around the area of exit 12, Spout Springs Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling on the highway when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to assist those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes until police were able to clear the scene. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
