Fleming, GA – Woman Injured in Serious Tractor Crash on Leroy Coffer Hwy
Fleming, GA (May 8, 2022) – A woman was seriously injured in a tractor-related accident that happened on a major Fleming highway on Friday night, May 6.
Liberty County officials confirmed that the collision happened around 9 p.m. on the Leroy Coffer Highway located in Liberty County. A woman was traveling in her vehicle on the highway when she suddenly collided with a tractor due to unknown reasons. The tractor had a mower attached to the back of it. For reasons that are not yet known, the woman’s vehicle flipped onto the tractor, causing it to remain upside-down in the roadway.
Liberty County responders, including paramedics, were dispatched to the scene. Fire crews worked to extricate the woman from her rolled vehicle. She was rushed to a local hospital by medical helicopter for treatment of severe injuries. Her condition is not known at this time.
The highway was blocked in several lanes following the collision until police were able to clear the scene.
The investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
