Fayetteville, GA – Two Injured in Rental Truck Accident on N Glynn St
Fayetteville, GA (June 24, 2022) – Two people sustained injuries in a rental truck accident that took place in Fayetteville on Monday morning, June 20.
According to local officials, the accident happened around 9:43 a.m. on North Glynn Street. Police confirmed that a 58-year-old man was driving his Penske rental truck when he was suddenly struck by a Nissan Sentra that merged out of its original lane. This caused the driver to lose control of the rental truck, slamming into a CVS building.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. The driver of the rental truck, as well as his 48-year-old passenger, were rushed to local hospitals for treatment. It is believed that the 24-year-old male driver of the Nissan was not injured.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
