Fayetteville, GA – Car Accident at GA-54 & Gingercake Rd Intersection
Fayetteville, GA (September 20, 2021) – At 7:22 a.m. on the morning of Monday, September 20, a car accident with injuries occurred at a Fayetteville intersection.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-54 and Gingercake Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when the vehicles entered the intersection at the same time. This caused them to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were seriously injured in the crash. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the crash, all lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 92 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
