Fairburn, GA – Car Accident at Jonesboro Rd & Peters Rd Intersection
Fairburn, GA (October 1, 2021) – At 6:19 a.m. on the morning of Friday, October 1, a car accident occurred at an intersection in Fairburn.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of Jonesboro Road and Peters Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. This led to extensive delays in the area.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
