Ellenwood, GA – Car Accident in NB Lanes of I-675 Near Ellenwood Rd
Ellenwood, GA (July 9, 2021) – At 7:45 a.m. on the morning of Friday, July 9, a car accident with injuries occurred in Ellenwood.
According to police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-675 around the area of Ellenwood Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time, which led to delays until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
