Elberton, GA – Four Injured in Serious Car Crash on GA-72
Elberton, GA (May 19, 2021) – At 2 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, May 19, a serious car crash took place on a major roadway in Elberton.
According to Elbert County officials, the accident happened on GA-72 when multiple vehicles collided with each other due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the crash were left with severe damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Four people were rushed to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. One person was critically injured and the rest were minor.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked in several lanes until police were able to fully clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
